Living for Joy

Like many women my age I'm addicted to Pinterest.

I can admit it- totally addicted.

I see amazing things and make grand plans and it takes me forever to get around to actually doing them. Sometimes the season passes before I have time, and so I think to myself maybe next year...

I've put a lot of the organizing and cleaning tips into practice. I've made my own laundry soap and used bread ties to label cords behind the TV, among other neat tricks. It's the gorgeous decorating and crafting projects that I have a hard time getting around too. See my perfectionism brings those plans to a halt.

I don't want to mess it up.

In my mind it's gorgeous and perfect but I know once I start trying to make it I'll mess it up.

Lately, I've started to put that fear aside and started to dive in.

Guess what? I'm having fun! My projects might not be perfect, but they're bringing me joy and they're not just pins anymore- and isn't that the whole point of living in general? I want joy in my life, not fear.

So I finally get around to the point of creating this blog. I want to share my joy and my thoughts, however in-eloquently I might share them and if one of my posts inspires someone else- well that will make all the time I spend blogging worth it, ey?
